Window World Launches Initiative to Help Veterans Establish New Careers

Replacement Window Company Launches ‘Careers for Heroes’ Hiring Platform to Inform Veterans of Employment Opportunities in the Window World Franchise System

N. WILKESBORO, N.C. (August 12, 2019) – Entering the civilian workforce after serving our country is not always an easy task for U.S. veterans. They may not know how to translate the skills they learned during their military service into a new career, and that thought is often reciprocated by employers.

Window World, America’s largest replacement window and exterior remodeling company, welcomes veterans interested in starting a career at a Window World franchise location. That’s why the company is excited to unveil Careers for Heroes — an online job-hiring platform that will match eligible veterans to available positions at Window World franchises across the country.

Dozens of franchise locations are involved in this nationwide effort to encourage veterans to become a part of the Window World franchise system. Through Careers for Heroes, interested veterans will receive training and support to help them transition into a new and exciting career.

“We have many beloved veterans in our Window World Family, and we value them tremendously,” says Window World Chairman and CEO Tammy Whitworth. “Veterans have already given so much to serve our country, and we want to help them as much as possible as they leap into civilian life.”

The Careers for Heroes platform has officially launched at www.careersforheroes.org through a partnership with JobPath, an online job source for veterans and military spouses. The company appreciates the work ethic, attention to detail and focus on teamwork that veterans bring to Window World’s franchisees.

Careers for Heroes is the latest effort by Window World to assist U.S. veterans. Window World proudly supports the Veterans Airlift Command (VAC), an organization that provides free air transportation to wounded veterans and their families. Window World has provided air service for more than 115 missions, and the partnership has raised over $1 million in flights and in-kind contributions for the VAC.
